Now that we've put this job into perspective, let's shift our focus to something even more significant—our future, and the legacy we are building for the generations to come.
It is no longer news that Black people are the poorest race in the world. See the facts and figures in my blog here.
Other communities — such as Jewish, Indian, and East Asian families, who are at the top income bracket even as immigrants — have mastered the art of passing down tangible assets.
If you want to know the difference between us Blacks and Asians, it is that they prepare their children and transfer ownership to them. By this, they always have a head start.
Ownership is what separates them from us.
What Owerships Do They Transfer To Their Children and Blacks Don't?
🏘️ Property: Real estate (not the mortgaged home you live in) but commercial properties that bring in money and appreciate over time
📈 Investments: Stocks, bonds, and other growing assets
💼 Family Businesses: Enterprises that are built to last and handed down through the
generations
🎓 Intellectual Property: Patents, trademarks, and copyrights that generate passive income
💰 Wills and Trusts: Legal structures that protect wealth and ensure it’s passed on
We can’t just focus on surviving. We must also focus on creating wealth that works for us and for our children — wealth that we can pass down to our children and grandchildren.
Download to understand Ownership a bit more.
As Black immigrant families, we can no longer afford to just work for a living. We must build the kind of wealth that allows us to own, invest, and create opportunities for the next generation - enough of our extravaganza.
Think about it: In this country, your legacy isn’t about a degree or certificate anymore; it’s what you leave behind.
Here’s wealth we can transfer to our children and know we are truly changing the future:
Start with property: Whether it’s purchasing a commercial property single-handedly or as a group, or investing in real estate, owning property that can build wealth over time.
Invest in the stock market: Even small investments in stocks or mutual funds can compound significantly over the years.
Build a business: Launch a side hustle or start a business that your children can inherit and grow.
Secure precious stones, gems, royalties, etc. as well as build trusts and wills: These stores of wealth or wealth reserves, legal instruments ensure your wealth is protected and passed on effectively.

The Final Word: Let’s Build a Legacy of Wealth
By securing a sponsored NHS job, you’re stepping into a career that can offer stability and opportunity.
Don’t let your family’s story be about survival. Let it be about empowerment and wealth creation.
Remember, in the developed world like the UK, a degree or certificate is not a legacy. The OWNERSHIP you transfer to your children or the next generation is what matters.
